Traveling to New York City & Bolivia

Within two days, we will be in New York City on a family vacation. And, within the next forty days, Tim and Erika will be traveling to Bolivia on a mission trip. Yes, I know... That is really going from one extreme to another.

Please check back at the end of the month as I try to somehow put into words what this all means for our family.

Homeschool Unit Celebration

Saturday, we went to the Segalini's home for our unit celebration. This unit we studied the Renaissance and Reformation. The kids learned a lot and did their presentations.

We missed all who could not make it! We love you Medana!

Erika and Josh talked about John Knox. He was a Protestant minister from Scotland who spent many years in prison because he sought to reform the church. While in prison and near death from being treated cruel, John said to his fellow slave, "I know the Lord will deliver us. Don't forget that Satan made Joseph go into Egypt, but God meant it for good to rescue His people. Don't lose hope, brother. God is faithful. We will return to our homeland and God will give us the victory." Two years later, John Knox was let out of prison and went to England to help advance the gospel. Eventually, John Knox went back to Scotland. Along with other ministers, he created a church grounded in Scripture. He preached until his death.

With that said, that concludes our history. What a great note to end on!

A Privileged People

As I finished my morning devotions with my two children, I just sat there in awe and amazed that we are a privileged people. We have the opportunity each and every day to openly read the word of God. There are so many third world countries that do not have that opportunity. People are being persecuted every day for their faith!

With that said, I hope as we go throughout the day, we can take the opportunity to thank the Lord for being a privileged people.

Mission Trip to Bolivia!

Tim and Erika prayed for many years to have an opportunity to go on a mission trip together. On June 28th, they will travel to Bolivia to be part of a construction team. I'm not sure exactly what they will be constructed and hope to learn more about the trip soon.

Please keep them in your prayers. I know their desire is to honor God during this time.

I will keep you all posted as I learn more about all the details.

Welcome!

Hi Everyone!

Well, I've decided to start a family blog to keep our family and friends updated on current events happening in our household. Please be patient with me as I'm still learning my way around.

In addition, we hope to share with you some things that God is doing in and through our family.

Please feel free to leave posts. We would love to hear from you.
